Cryolypolysis

We have put together a series of questions that are most commonly asked about cryolipolysis also know as fat freezing. This will not only help you with knowing more about the treatment before your consultation but will most importantly allow us to spend more time on creating a bespoke treatment plan for you and your concerns. So why not get these out the way now?

What is Fat freezing?

Also known as fat freezing, cryolipolysis, non-surgical Liposuction and Coolsculpting this procedure makes use of an advanced cosmetic technology in which unwanted fat cells are frozen until they die (apoptosis). These crystalized subcutaneous fat cells are then reabsorbed by the body and flushed out as waste.

IS CRYOLIPOLYSIS THE RIGHT TREATMENT FOR ME?

Fat freezing is a procedure designed to target stubborn fat in specific areas, it is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese. Good candidates have stubborn fat in certain areas. This includes the abdomen, hips, thighs, and arms. It is the perfect non-surgical, non-invasive alternative to liposuction.

HOW MANY CRYOLIPOLYSIS TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

The amount of treatments needed is entirely dependant on you and everyone varies so it is without a consultation with a practitioner, it is hard to know. However, we have had many clients have great results of just one treatment.

CAN I HAVE CRYOLIPOYSIS ANYWHERE ON MY BODY?

Fat freezing can target stubborn fat areas including the abdomen, flanks/side, inner thigh, outer thigh, bra fat, double chin, and arms.

WHERE DOES THE FAT GO AFTER CRYOLIPOLYSIS TREATMENT?

Once frozen, the fat cells die and are naturally processed and eliminated from the body. We ask you to drink lots of water after treatment to flush the fat cells out.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME ATER CRYOLIPOLYSIS?

Fat freezing is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Some patients experience redness, minor bruising, tingling, numbness in the treated area, but this is temporary and will resolve completely. Oftentimes, patients return to work after the session is over.

How long does a treatment last?

One area is treated for 1 hour. We can treat a maximin of two areas at the same time. We can treat multiple areas in one day.

How long do I have to wait to see results?

We expect to see full results after 3-6 months. However, dependant on lifestyle some clients can see results as early as 2 weeks. This will vary from client to client.

How long do I have to wait to have another treatment on the same area?

We advise to wait at least 3 months so that you can see the previous results from the first treatment. This will be planned at discussed with your aesthetician.

If this isn’t the right treatment for me what is?

We have various different sculpting/fat reduction procedures that are great for all body concerns. We will always provide the best option for your concerns. However, this may not always be the treatment you have enquired about as potentially better results could be gained from other treatments.
