CLEANSERS & TONERS

A Cleanser is the first step in every skin regime. It cleans your skin and clears it from makeup, dirt, excess oil and any other pollutants your face may have come in contact with throughout the day. It comes in a variety of textures such as milky, gel and foam.

The overall goal of a cleanser is the hydrate, purify and soothe your skin. Depending on your skin type and skin concerns will determine the cleanser that will be best suited for your skin needs. For example if you have dry skin, then you will look for a toner that has hyaluronic acid in it.

If you have oily and acne prone skin then you will be looking for a salicylic acid cleanser. For aging and maturing skin a retinol based cleanser will help with fading fine lines and wrinkles.

If your cleanser is not PH balanced then you will also need a toner, this will be the second step of your skin regime. We need our skin to be PH balanced so all the products we put on after can be absorbed into the skin properly. 

A toner also helps  to hydrate  and purify your skin as well as remove any remaining dirt or oil left on your skin. Always use a cotton pad to apply a toner and find one the best suits your skin needs.
