Exfoliants

An exfoliant removes dead skin cell and impurities from your skin. Exfoliating your skin is the third step in your skin regime but only 2 - 3 times per week.

Exfoliators are more intense then a cleanser and they will usually have some form of beading in them to help smooth the skin. They can come in different textures such as creams, gels and powders.

We need to exfoliate the dead skin off because if we leave it too long dead skin can clogs your pores and create acne. It also helps to promote faster cell turnover which keep your skin looking younger and smooth for longer.

We only exfoliate 2 – 3 times per week because of the more intense ingredients in exfoliators, they could be too harsh for the skin to use everyday. Finding the right balance for your skin type and concerns will help you get the best results.

Skin Peels

Peels are a more intense version of exfoliator. You would do a peel when you feel like your skin needs to be completely renewed.

Peels will have multiple stronger ingredients and usually come in a gel or cream form. 

There are peels for every skin type and concern. Acne, anti ageing and sun damage are the most common reasons for having a peels. Even if you do not have a major concern peels are very good for helping your skin grow back smoother and promoting collagen and elastic strengthen.
