Bringing Beauty Secrets of the East to the West Dermasuri is an award winning skincare exfoliation company that uses ancient Eastern beauty rituals.
Founders and childhood friends Melody Akhavan, of Middle Eastern descent, and Susumu Tsuchihashi, of Japanese origin studied the remarkable benefits of Eastern skincare and the extraordinary exfoliation traditions of their respective ancestries rituals passed down from one generation to the next.

Origins and History
Eastern cleansing and skincare rituals have long been a mystery to outsiders. The hammam (Turkish and Arabic), jjimjilbang (Korean), and onsen (Japanese) traditions are centuries old, involving a shower or bath steam, followed by a deep exfoliation with a mitt made with a unique woven fabric during which one can see dry, dead skin sloughing off the body.
This exfoliation experience from the East purifies both body and soul. These rituals are more than an act of cleansing, they are transformational providing a time of meditation, relaxation, and purification of body and soul.
